Eagles Nest Wildlife Sanctuary was founded by owner Harry Kunz in 2001. He created a place for injured, sick, orphaned and unreleaseable wildlife, with his 20 years of experience as a wildlife caregiver.
The animals get medical treatment, are fed with love and are finallyreleased into the wild again, with special preparation for the young ones.
Harry is specialized in birds of prey and houses three unreleaseable Wedgetail-eagles plus lots of other raptors. He also has the permit for research und educational training. Researchers, scientists and volunteers are always welcome.
Since November 2003 Harry receives support from his partner, Karin. She cares mainly for the orphaned kangaroos, possums and small marsupials.
Harry runs the sanctuary only with his own money and occasional donations. There are not only costs for medication and food but also for maintenance and extension.
