Eagles
We have also Falcon, Hawks, and other ... |
Freddy Kruger, is the veteran and has been in care since 1996. Hit by a bus in Port Douglas, he had gravel-rash on his wing which damaged his fly-feather roots. They will never grow back again, Freddy is not releasable. |

Frieda, hit by a road train near Alice Springs. She has muscle damage in her left leg, which hopefully will heal. She has become the boss in the enclosure.

Eddy, found near Mount Isa on the road. He was very bruised and had bad concussion, it could be a long healing process till he might be released.

Butch, (left) hit by a truck, which really messed him up. With a broken wing which was pined and wired, he also lost one eye. But he is still full of life and energy.

Kangaroo's and Relatives
Doris. is a lovely female Agile Wallaby, 9 months old. Somebody found her in the Wilderness. She was born blind, but her other senses are more developed, so she can find her way easily around the enclosure. She is so gorgeous and such a sweet heart!! She will stay with us for life.

Pepper is also a female Agile Wallaby, and really AGILE. At 7 months old her mother was killed by dogs. She is full of life, curious and the guardian of Percy. She protects Percy and on cold nights she even shares her pouch with him. |

Percy is a 7-8 month old male Pretty Face (Whiptail Wallaby). He was sitting for 2 days next to his dead mother which had been killed by a car. If he would be a human, he would be "Sir Percy" He has something aristocratic about him, loves to be cuddled and hugged and his deep black eyes tell a story. |

Wally is a 7 month old male Wallaroo. His mother had also been hit by a car and he came to us with cuts, bruises and concussion. Our "Teddy bear". With his big black eyes and his fluffy, soft fur he looks really like a huggable Teddybear. |

Strolchi, a 9 month old male Eastern Grey Kangaroo. He was found 200 km from here in the Outback. Rangers brought this skinny, bony Joey to us. Now he has put on weight and acquired his natural silky fur. He is so fussy. Before he jumps into his pouch he checks out to see if it's clean enough to sleep in. |

Susan is also an Eastern Grey, 8 month old girl who lost her mother to a car accident and was just a "pinky", (so young she had no fur at all). She is affectionate and cuddly, but she misses her mother so much. We do the best to be a substitute, but Chrisi has taken her "under his wing". Under the circumstances she has done extremely well, and responded to the treatment provided. |

Chrisi is our long term Resident, a male Eastern Grey Kangaroo, has reached the age of 18 months. He had a very complicated broken leg when he was 6 month old. He needs more treatment and therapy. Now he is the big brother for the other Joey's. He looks after them and is the teacher in a certain way. Susan, especially, is attached to him. |
